Summary of the Role
The digital business mission is to enable the balance of business growth with accelerated business transformation through best-in-class leading digital innovation and strong operational excellence that enable customers, and patients to have meaningful and positive interaction with Sanofi medicines, products and services that contribute positively to company growth and bottom-line results.
The Head of Digital Products leads the development of best-in-class digital applications and platforms across Sanofi US. This person is responsible for fully understanding the broad range of customer needs to develop solutions that meet these needs in creative ways and delight these customers. The Head of US Digital Products will leverage global products and teams for speed/scale, and when market specificity requires, this person will build a team of product owners, design experts, technical scrum masters to enable rapid US growth and digital acceleration.
The Head of Digital Products oversees the portfolio and prioritization of all programs, projects and services related to Go-to-Market and omnichannel including Customer Engagement from Marketing, Sales, and Medical teams, and with the objective to develop and maintain a cutting edge, best in class scalable and maintainable foundation for Sanofi commercial activities in the USA.
Through a highly networked and matrixed structure, the Head of Digital Products will work with US franchises, Business Operations leads across Vaccines, General Medicines, and Specialty Care, and the compliance teams in charge of local regulations. This person will also need close collaboration with the 3 BU GTM Transformation heads to ensure future business and customer needs are incorporated into the go-to-market platform designs over time.
Within the Digital organization, this position works closely with Global Product owners and Delivery leads to ensure that US business needs can be effectively translated into platform requirements the global product teams can deliver, is a member of the NA Digital LT, and extended Digital Business LT.
Key Accountabilities
Own the product vision and strategic roadmap for US platform development that is aligned with overall company strategic direction and US xGBU objectives as set at US Acceleration Board
Build platform features and services based on deep customer insights, quantitative analysis and customer feedback that end users love and which deliver proven clinical benefits.
Oversee all US commercial launches digital activation, i.e. ensure CRM, Omnichannel and Data platforms in place to support product launches in US on day 1, coordinate across delivery and service teams for execution, and maintains platforms on an ongoing basis including issue resolution
Identify trends - competitive and market leading - and drive evolution of Sanofi's US customer engagement tools towards Best in Class
Work with commercial team to understand customer needs and ensure product design can deliver on key requirements
Provide strategic vision, supporting franchises in defining their digital strategic roadmap, translating their priority must wins battles into the big tickets and digital value streams / Develop detailed Use Cases, Business Cases and lead projects' upstream phase (Business demands and requirements analysis)
Depending on global products leveraged, the Head of US Digital Products and their team will act at times as orchestrators (connecting global product teams directly with US business for light localizations), enablers (working side by side with global product teams on complex localizations), and owners (leading directly with US business all aspects of design and execution).
Be uncompromising and obsessive in creating amazing user experiences but flexible as to how we get there; embrace iterative development and employ thoughtful "build versus buy" decisions to obtain feedback quickly before committing resources to longer development efforts
Drive cross-TA and GBU digital standards and best practices
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure that platform design improves overall efficiency to drive down the cost to serve
Develop best practice ways of working between product design, delivery and data teams to facilitate agile and effective transition from design to product realization
Work with global product owners and external experts on the application of AI tools in platforms to enhance user experience and drive down cost to deliver
Assist US Digital Head to communicate on product vision and roadmap with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU
Requirements
7+ years of Digital/IT or Digital Marketing experience with 2+ years in role leading a digital / commercial transformation (global or market) or in a product leadership role.
Experience with omnichannel technologies / platforms
Comfortable with pushing on conventional wisdom and having a strong point of view; willing to take the initiative and offer creative solutions; strong troubleshooting skills
Possesses a strong business acumen, combined with strong understanding of digital.
Broad understanding of the technology context and its implication on business.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree in Science, Engineering, or MBA degree is preferred.
Robust end-to-end view of the pharmaceutical operations in the US.
Experience with Agile methodology and Lean or 6-sigma is a very relevant plus.
Seasoned leader with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Successful at building a culture of performance and accountability.
Proven record of developing people, capabilities, and leadership skills.
Demonstrating a positive result orientation, problem solving attitude & a "getting things done" mentality.
Able to work effectively in a matrixed, multi-cultural, global organization.

Ability to both "think big" and manage the details to ensure impactful execution.
This position may require up to 10 - 20 % overall business travel.
Fluency in English is a must, X fluency a plus.
