  Job Summary

  As a member of the platform hardware development team, the engineer will participate in the development, validation, and support of hardware platforms throughout the product lifecycle.

  Job Requirements

  • BSEE or BSCE with 5+ years' experience; MSEE or MSCE with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent.

  • Experience in digital design, PCB development, debug, and verification is required to develop NetApp hardware platforms.

  • A strong digital design background and debugging experience in high-speed interfaces, processor and chipsets, memory, PCI-Express bus, and data and storage network interfaces is a plus.

  • Responsibilities include specification and test plan development, design, development, and debug of modules and systems, design verification testing, product release, and support for shipping products.

  • Interact with other Hardware engineers, Mechanical and Thermal engineers, Power engineers, Software engineers, QA engineers, and Manufacturing engineers often at remote locations.

  • Collaboration and interaction with NetApp groups and remote teams, and ODM partners and suppliers is essential.

  • Provide technical support to marketing, sales, and design partners throughout the product development and implementation process.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.

  • Comfortable with change and dynamic nature of high-tech development environment.

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate across many different sites and time zones.

  • Ability to lead a hardware development project from start to finish. Experience managing component suppliers and ODM or hardware design partners is a plus.

  Education

  BSEE or BSCE with 5+ years' experience; MSEE or MSCE with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent.

  USA and Canada Residents Only:

  The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is 116,640 - 164,450. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
