Advanced Assembly/Summit Colorado has an open position for Hand Place Technician (2nd shift).
Hand Place Technician perform the hand place process of SMT components according customer specifications on PCB. Execute the inspection of electrical assemblies to assure that they fulfill the specifications of Advanced Assemblys established quality policy and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Complete a job survey of all documents filed in the internal system.Execute the hand placement and verification of the components with the support of the written specifications (BOM) to guarantee the acceptable quality standards.Verify for the placement (presences and polarity) of the components on PCB.Interpret datasheets, assembly documentation to determine polarity information.Complete the sign off approval process for equipment set up.Perform pre-reflow and post-reflow inspections on SMT Components according to the BOM, and assembly documentation and identify any issues presented on PCB.Sign the documents to indicate the status of inspection.Register the information corresponding to the PCB inspection results.Segregate and report the rejected parts properly identified that do not fulfill the established levels of acceptance.Report all part errors, discrepancies and questions into the database.Stop the process if conditions are found that do not assure the quality of the product.Report to Production Manager or Supervisor assignee any repetitive discrepancy in products.Verify reflow profile is correct for each PCB reflowed.Place all jobs with missing parts and other errors on Hold status properly identified.Update the internal Database system.Complete the documentation for all work done in the assigned section.Make an audit in process "Inspection patrols" to detect and correct possible errors in the Pick and Place process.Release jobs and PCBs inspected to the next process.Safeguards the tools and equipments used for PCB verification.Maintain work area to ensure that it is clean and organized.Perform all the duties to ensure safety for all employees.Execute other works related to the position.Work independently and consistently to meet production goals.Build products that meet standards the first time.Maintain good attendance and reliability, including adhering to working schedules.Read and understand manufacturing procedures and other necessary documentation.Identify causes of common process problems and provide alternative solutions for resolving them.Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalentMinimum experience of 1 year in Electronic Manufacturing preferred.Flexibility to work scheduled hours and extra hours as required.Operate a computer and basic software at a proficient level.Excellent communication skills.Compensation/Benefits:Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs. Pay Range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 hour based on experience.
