Since 2007, IRC has worked with refugees and other vulnerable populations in Jordan focusing on urban and camp interventions addressing health, protection, economic development, and early childhood development for Syrian refugees and host communities. IRC through its health program has been providing essential Primary and Reproductive Health (RH) services to Syrian refugees and vulnerable host communities in Jordan.
Job Overview/Summary : the Gynecologist position is based at the IRC Zaatari camp facility/RH clinic, where the primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality clinical care to patients experiencing obstetric and gynecological issues. The role also involves facilitating referrals for patients requiring hospital care within the camp.OB-GYN Responsibilities :
1- Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate.
2- 2- Performing a wide range of tests, including pelvic, and breast exams as well as proper use of ultrasound.
3- 3- Diagnosing and prescribing treatments for disorders and diseases.
4- 4- Conducting routine check-ups on patients.
5- 5- Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
6- 6- Educating patients about disease prevention and detection, and reproductive health.
7- 7- Keeping up to date with current practices and innovations
8- 8- Applied international case definition and disease outbreak criteria in the workplace.
9- 9- maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
110- Organizing preventative medical programmers for individual patients.
1111- meeting targets set by the IRC and international criteria for specific treatments
1212- Keeping detailed records of all patients and the treatments they receive
1313- keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments, and medications, including complementary medicine.
1414- Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development (CPD) activities
1515- Maintaining and following high-quality IPC measures and protocols.

Other Internal and/or external contacts.
Internal: Senior Health Officer, Medical doctors, nurses, and other health staff deployed at the health facility
External: MOH, UNHCR, UNFPA, and other health care providers in the Zaatari refugee camp
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine.
Five years of OB-GYN residency.
Board certification
Experience practicing medicine.
Expert diagnostic skills.
Work Experience: Approximately 2- 4 years of relevant experience,
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

3-An awareness of patient safety at all times

8-Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic
Certificates or Licenses: certificate degree Doctor of Medicine.
Four years of OB-GYN residency.
Board certification.
