The Guest Service Representative is responsible for greeting and registering guests, making/modifying reservations, maximizing guest satisfaction by providing exceptional guest services during their stay, and settling the guests account upon completion of their stay. They will have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with customers.Reports to: Front Office Manager and Assistant General ManagerDuties:
Report to work on time, in a proper and clean uniform.
- - Duty hours will require weekends and holidays.
Greet and register guests.
Show, sell, and assign rooms to guests.
- - Be knowledgeable with guest room types, locations, and amenities of each.
Be knowledgeable about room rates, discounts, and promotions.
Answer phones with proper greeting/etiquette in a timely manner.
Receive and accurately record payment from guests for room or services.
- - Conform to cash handling procedures at all times.
Be knowledgeable about the community and activities to help customers understand what they can do in the area.
Be attentive to guests needs in a timely manner.
Accommodate guests special requests to the best of their ability.
Maintain good communications with other hotel departments.
- - Be knowledgeable about daily hotel events.
Resolve customer requests or complaints to the best of their ability. Immediately notify supervisor if resolution cannot be accomplished at their level.
- - Always document thoroughly.
Communicate all events from the shift into the pass on log prior to leaving.
Keep front office area clean, organized, and stocked.
Keep Front Office Manager and Assistant General Manager informed of property status (positive and negative) in a timely manner.
