Overview
Deutsche Bank's Group Strategic Analytics organization provides analytical modelling and problem-solving solutions to the Lines of Business including the group's Treasury and Finance organizations. Models and the resulting analytics cover a wide range of risks drivers including Credit, Market, and liquidity risks and will be used to meet the needs of various functions - such as Capital Stress Testing (CCAR), Risk in the Banking Book, and Strategic Planning. We are actively seeking a Vice President (VP) for the New York, NY office with a strong financial engineering modelling, Machine Learning(ML), Data, and Systems Engineering background in the field of Statistical, Econometric and ML model development. The primary function of this role is to be a key creator of Analytical and Modelling functionality that use large amounts of Macro Economic and financial Markets data to help create Behavioral Models that forecast the revenues of various Capital Markets and Corporate banking businesses of the Bank.
The function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture,Deutsche Bank has been named 'Bank Risk Manager of the Year' by the leading publication risk.net for the second consecutive year (2020 & 2021).

What You'll Do
Become the subject matter expert on the functionality available in the infrastructure and become the go to person on any question on how a specific functionality works viz-a-viz behavioral models being developed, implemented, and deployed
Prepare clear functional Specification Documents that will provide peer modelers with an unambiguous view of the tools, methods, and statistical, econometric, or machine learning techniques being made available in the infrastructure for modelling
Help Group Strategic Analytics (GSA)/TMA's Platform Engineering team in subject matter interfacing with other GSA infrastructure, financial risk modeling, 2LoD control owners, and 3LoD audit teams across the Bank
Participate in the evolving discipline of capital planning, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk
Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of new strategic model estimation and behavioral modeling execution platforms

Build and maintain relationships across Deutsche Bank stakeholder organizations
Contribute to GSA/TMA leadership initiatives and firm-wide integration of GSA/TMA modeling activities
Skills You'll Need
Bachelor's degree with a quantitative concentration, e.g., applied statistics/mathematics, economics, computer science, operations research, etc. Advanced degree preferred
Strong financial engineering and/or statistical learning (ML) and econometrics background as applied to financial modeling and behavioral modeling (desirable)
Strong programming/coding skills using Python and R (C++ desirable). Hands on experience as well in designing and/or developing user interfaces using Python, Java, or similar languages. Well experienced in Git, Jira, and Linux as well
Experience working for Banking or Capital Markets at a top tier bank or consulting firm
Skills That Will Help You Excel
A good grasp of Data Engineering principles using large financial datasets, ML pipelines and ML operations. Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle principles
Knowledge of and a strong interest in Deposit, Loan, Treasury, and asset and liability management (ALM) principles and relevant interdependencies; model governance and Model Development Life Cycle, and material model change management; OPM including back-testing, forward and backward stability, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, knowledge of GoM, regulatory stress testing frameworks such as CCAR, DFAST, ICAAP, and SR-11/7; exposure to MRIA remediation activities, materiality metrics, and model validation concepts like revalidation
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $180,000 to $250,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
