Group Vice President - Kidney Care Operations
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Group VicePresident of Kidney Care Operations will be responsible for general managementand leadership of operations within a multi-state operating group. As theGroup Vice President, your scope of responsibility includes 400outpatient clinics, 200 home dialysis programs, 100 acute careprograms and nearly 7,000 teammates providing care for 25,000 patients.
This position is a key member of DaVita's field management team.Thisposition provides strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and directionto the field management of DaVita to ensure safe, efficient, therapeuticand ethical patient care.Additionally, this position identifies and developsstrategic growth opportunities, monitors group performance, and worksclosely with the senior leadership team to develop competitive strategies inalignment with DaVita's mission and values. Position has budget and PLaccountability for a $1B+ business.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, hiring,retention, performance development, performance management, salaryadjustments, and termination of direct reports. Position has general,overall responsibility for teammate decisions within operating group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectationsof this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.Develop and execute strategic operating plans and goals for assigned groupAnalyze current center trends impacting patient service delivery, trackmetrics and success criteria including ROI for all activitiesReview, analyze, and address gaps in service excellence, policies,and/or procedures proactively; identify issues and implement solutionsLead the creation and implementation of teammate development processes andsuccession planning including mentoring, coaching, and modelingappropriate leadership behaviorsManage financial and revenue growth, operations and labor management,contract management, and clinical outcomes within the divisionFulfill broad-reaching, strategic responsibility for the development andimplementation of proactive programs, operational improvements,communications, and other general management responsibilities related to allmodalities (chronic, acute, PD, home) within the assigned divisionParticipate actively in joint venture business meetings as applicableLead the business development processMaintain a liaison relationship between the corporate office and fieldoperationsDevelop positive work relationships with all levels of management and otherdepartments in the Village; work collaboratively with field management,legal, financeDevelop and maintain effective relationships with physicians consistent withDaVita code of conduct and Compliance CommandmentsBuild and maintain a team of knowledgeable, skilled teammates (includingmanagement) who function in compliance with all regulatory requirements andthe DaVita mission and valuesTravel required: up to 50%
