The Opportunity
Adobe's Education Marketing team exists to drive the long-term growth of Adobe's Creative and Document businesses. We lead Adobe's global marketing plans of brands including Adobe Express, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and Acrobat into the Education industry, building a business aimed at empowering all higher education students and staff with the skills vital for success, in school and beyond.
The Group Manager for Global Higher Education Marketing will lead a team that creates innovative and impactful marketing programs for our largest education customers and prospects. As we move into a major year of growth and transformation for this business, the role will lead strategic marketing strategy for field, demand, and account-based marketing, working closely with Education Sales leadership, corporate Business Unit leadership and Regional Marketing leadership, to drive new pipeline and accelerate closed bookings for Adobe in Higher Education.
What you'll do
Lead global marketers to drive sales pipeline through events, partnerships, and digital marketing. Guide the team in developing a multi-channel marketing strategy.Collaborate with marketing operations and sales leadership on performance, identifying and solving challenges in the funnel and processes, and celebrating joint success.Build standard processes for reporting activity performance and a regular cadence of delivering reports to senior leadership.Interlock with internal Centres of Excellence to advocate for support for your business and build new capabilities that contribute to our business goal success.Run a multi-million-dollar global marketing budget and operate with a performance focus, optimizing investment levels and return on investment on a quarterly level.Manage expectations with internal team members cross-functionally and in senior leadership to ensure all areas of the business have a clear understanding of plans and performance of field marketing activity.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years B2B field, demand generation, or account-based marketing experience with 5+ years leading marketing teams.Creative approach in clearing obstacles; innovation around solutions; perseverance to fast-fail and navigate ambiguity through to success.Strong understanding of major B2B marketing tactics and how to implement multi-channel marketing strategies.Outstanding communication skills - both orally and visually - to prepare and present presentations around your plans and results and be in customer-facing situations.Strong organisational skills, including the ability to confidently lead multiple projects simultaneously.Experience leading remote teams and keeping a geographically distributed organization motivated and inspired, including setting individual expectations and handling performance as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep experience helping a sales team establish relationships at the highest levels of an end customer's organisation.You are data-driven. You operate based on data and insight and help your team understand campaign performance at a granular level.You are an action-orientated leader. You enjoy leading but also executing marketing programs yourself and can do both simultaneously.Experience with CRM (SFDC), marketing automation (Adobe Campaign, Marketo), and project management tools (JIRA, Workfront).
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $134,800 -- $252,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
