Responsibilities:1. Group Facilitation: Plan, prepare, and lead group activities and discussions that promote a sense of community and encourage participants to reflect on their choices and behaviors related to impaired driving. Create a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that fosters open and honest communication.2. Educational Sessions: Develop and deliver educational presentations and workshops on topics including the consequences of impaired driving, responsible decision-making, and alternatives to driving under the influence. Design engaging activities to enhance participants' understanding and retention of key concepts.3. Individual Support: Provide one-on-one guidance and support to program participants, including active listening, empathy, and appropriate guidance for behavior change. Build trusting relationships with participants and assist them in developing personalized action plans to prevent future instances of impaired driving.4. Program Compliance: Monitor participants' engagement and progress to ensure compliance with program requirements. Keep accurate records of participant attendance, behavior, and compliance with program guidelines. Collaborate with case management staff to address any difficulties or challenges participants may face during the program.5. Emotional Support: Create a supportive environment that recognizes the emotional impact of impaired driving and off ers participants encouragement and resources to address mental health and substance abuse issues. Collaborate with external resources and referral agencies to ensure participants receive the support they need.6. Evaluation and Feedback: Collect participant feedback and assess the effectiveness of group engagement activities. Collaborate with program leadership to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for program enhancement. Continuously evaluate program outcomes and contribute to program evaluation eff orts.7. Community Liaison: Develop relationships with community organizations, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders. Collaborate on community outreach eff orts to raise awareness about impaired driving and the resources available through the Driver Intervention Program.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fi eld (preferred)- Minimum of 2 years of experience in group facilitation, counseling, or a related fi eld- Understanding of impaired driving issues, DUI laws and consequences, and resources for recovery and prevention- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with diverse populations- Strong group facilitation skills, including the ability to engage participants, promote discussion, and manage group dynamics- Knowledge of behavioral change theories and techniques, particularly related to substance
