Compensation: This position falls under the City of Denver Prevailing WageLaw. The base prevailing rate is $17.29/hr for 2023, however other ratesmay apply depending on job assignment within the scope of the job description.
General Summary:Routine grounds installation and maintenance duties including facilityexterior cleanliness, lawn and planting care, seasonal maintenance, snowand ice removal, and special projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:By Direction, maintenance and daily upkeep:
Complete care of all landscaping, trees, shrubbery, lawns, floral,and green belt areas of the property.
Cleans facility exterior hard surfaces including loading dock areas. Trash anddebris removal, and snow and ice removal
Irrigation systems and timing mechanisms
Facility cleaning of exterior hard walls and doors
Exterior furnishings, fixtures and equipment
Exterior flags
Makes recommendations to Lead Groundskeeper with regards to proper andsufficient tools, supplies, and equipment to perform assigned tasks
Works in a team environment to help ensure facility success
Maintains a safe working environment
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Three to five years experience in a grounds maintenance position
Landscaping and horticulture experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the methods and skill in the use ofequipment, materials, and tools appropriate for grounds keeping and heavyequipment operation (i.e., hand tools, mowers, trimmers, utilityvehicles, forklifts, sweepers, plows, front-end loaders, power washers, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, sketches, blueprints, andmanufacturers' manuals
Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writingincluding good organizational and inter-personal skills
Excellent record of dependability and reliability, required
Perform job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changingpriorities, required
Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within anorganization; skill to work effectively as part of a team, required
