QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma/GED Valid Texas Driver License Class D Wastewater Operator License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) or ability to obtain within 6 monthsKNONIWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processed, equipment, and regulations. Precision in conducting inspections, recording data, and maintaining accurate logs and reports regarding plant operations.Capacity to assess challenges, analyze options and implement solutions to enhance plant efficiency and performance. Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis and reporting. Good communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Availability for flexible schedules and a prompt response to emergency situations. The wastewater Treatment Plant Operator role involves monitoring, regulating, and adjusting equipment to ensure the efficient and safe treatment of wastewater before discharge. The operator will work within established guidelines to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the proper functioning of all treatment processes.MAJOR DUTIES:This is an intermediate-level position. The employee performs a range of Reports to Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent. 40 hours per week Rotating Shifts. FLSA Status Non-Exempt.
