This includes supporting the Office of Research Support and Operations (ORSO) Grant/Contract Team by providing assistance when needed with grant and contract data maintenance; reviewing and routing of grant and contract proposal and award documents and other grant and contract related items; budget analysis; creating, reviewing, and disseminating communications, including those from sponsored agencies and other grant and contract partners, to all WSU units including Sponsored Program Services, faculty, and departmental research administrators; and other grant and contract needs. This position will also assist with high level project and Committee management, Office of Research grant and contract reports and associated projects, MyResearch Grant and Contract database management, and other needs in the Office of Research.This position may be available for remote/hybrid work.Required Qualifications:• High School graduation or equivalent; and five years of experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting or general administrative work, which includes one year full-time experience working in grants and contracts; OR equivalent education/experience.• Demonstrated computer software skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.• Critical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure, with tight deadlines and limited supervision.• Exceptional people and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in business or relevant field.• Experience working in a university setting.• Experience working with grants, proposals, and awards.• Experience creating and managing databases.• Experience with tools such as Tableau and Wordpress.Additional Information:Area/College: Office of ResearchDepartment Name: Research Support & Operations (ORSO)City, State, Zip: Pullman, WA 99164-1060Department Link: http://research.wsu.edu and https://orso.wsu.edu/Monthly Salary: Range 44 | $3,700 to $4,968 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
