Position Summary
The Graduate Research Assistant will devote support as a temporary employee and coordinate the activities of the Georgia Clinical Translational Science Award ( CTSA ) federal grant. This person will assist with the coordination of the administrative, communication, dissemination, outreach, and programmatic activities. Also, will serve as a liaison with other programs, offices, departments at MSM , and across partnering institutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s in Education or Social Sciences or related fieldExperience:
Minimum of 2 years research team experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting quantitative data and/or qualitative data analysis utilizing software packages such as SPSS , SASS , Ethnograph, NVivo, etc.
Evidence of excellent data interpretation, oral and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral Student in Education or Social Sciences or related field

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
The research assistant will:
Update and maintain research/evaluation databases;
Enter, edit, query, audit, code, reconcile, validate, merge, and statistically analyze collected data.
Provide secondary data analysis of existing data sources that will require data merging, coding and directed analysis to test research specific aims and hypotheses.
Support coordination and facilitation of community-engaged research activities.
Work with the Center’s co-investigators and collaborate with members of the Center’s Capacity-Building core
Implement research plans with additional responsibilities that will include, but not be limited: to conducting literature searches, assisting in the implementation of research activities, acting as a liaison between the Center and community partners, and supporting the dissemination of research findings.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
