  How will you make an impact?

  The General Management Graduate Leadership Development Program (GM GLDP) provides an outstanding opportunity for high potential advanced degree soon to be graduates to develop the skills vital for careers as General Managers at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The program is led by a dedicated Program Manager with oversight by senior leaders within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

  Our Summer Associate program is a 10-12 week internship crafted for MBA students between their 1st and 2nd years of Business School. Summer Associates are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects are developed by our Senior Leadership Team and have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business unit to which they are assigned.

  What will you do?

  Our Summer Associate projects are developed by Senior Management and provide participants exposure to daily operations of a Fortune 100 company. You will get additional opportunities to experience our workplace culture with exposure to current GM GLDP associates, GM GLDP graduates, as well as other senior leaders in the organization. To ensure projects are meaningful and meet the needs of our dynamic business, final project assignments will not be determined until late Spring. Summer Associates will be asked to present an end of assignment presentation to their team of colleagues as well as our Senior Leadership Team at the end of their experience. All Summer Associates will be evaluated at the end of their program and interviewed for a full-time role for the GM GLDP.

  Examples of Summer Projects:

  Analysis of Export Operations in Distributor marketsPortfolio Sourcing Optimization and MetricsAnalysis of Market Applications to Provide Customer Workflow Advantage, Strategic MarketingIdentify Outsourcing Opportunities in a specific regionLead and implement proof of concept pilots to validate the caseConduct VOC analysis and concept test results

  Start Date: This internship is set to begin in either May or June 2024 for a duration of 10 - 12 weeks - dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.

  Compensation & Relocation: Our MBA internships offer an hourly rate of $55.00. As a global organization, we have many sites located across the country. Our Summer Associates may be based in a variety of different cities, including but not limited to:

  Carlsbad, CAGreenville, NCPittsburgh, PAWaltham, MA

  Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Students must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

  How will you get here?

  Graduate student completing an MBA degree between December 2024 and June 2025 with a STEM-related undergraduate degree.3+ years of relevant experience required (5+ preferred) - ideally gained in large, global organizations. Experience in Life Sciences or STEM-related industry required.1+ years of direct people management and possess a talent mindset.Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.Consultative approach with internal and external partners - sensitive to Voice of the Customer (VOC).Prior experience setting strategy, leading impactful projects, managing budgets, and direct management / development of people and teams.Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.Confident applying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for effective forecasting and propelling continuous improvement.Ability to interact with and influence colleagues and leaders at all levels of a matrixed environment.Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and strong executive presence.Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.

  Compensation and Benefits

  The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $40.00-$60.00.
