The Boeing Company is seeking a first line leader with experience in systems engineering to join the Government Training Engineering SEIT organization. The selected candidate will go on to lead the Air Dominance SEIT Integration and Verification (I&V) team. This team is tasked with performing systems integration and verification across our portfolio of aircrew and maintenance training devices for the F-15, F/A-18, E/A-18G, MQ-25, T-45, and T-7A aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead a team of diverse systems engineers with the responsibility, authority, and oversight of the systems integration & verification phase of the product development lifecycle.
Work closely with other engineering functions, program management and external customers. Interfacing with engineering and other shared resources such as subsystems engineering, mission assurance, software, hardware, IT, and supplier teams as required.
Support project planning and status activities including proposals, estimates, scheduling, and business systems status inputs for multiple contracts and deliveries.
Evaluates business requirements against cost, schedule and technical constraints.
Understand, support, and apply agile principles, practices, and processes.
Personnel and Team Development
Manage expectations, performance, and compensation of direct reports.
Coach employees on technical, functional, team skills, and career goals.
Support hiring activities, staff forecasting, and staffing to plan.
Provide support to control account managers (CAMs) to manage cost, schedule, and execution of all programs and cost accounts within the team.
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM field
1+ years of experience leading engineering teams
5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Systems Engineering Best Practices
General working level knowledge of tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components, to include flight controls, radar, communications and weapons, power distribution, etc. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces
Experience developing training or training others on a process or skill
Experience in the development and design of aircraft simulation and/or training devices
Experience in developing requirements or test/verification methods
Experience working with Test Readiness Reviews, Design Reviews and/or Technical Working Groups
Experience leading projects from contract award through system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, parts procurement, installation, testing, and delivery
Experience in systems engineering or training using IBM Rhapsody and IBM Telelogic DOORS products
Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe) or Agile in general
Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (St. Louis, MO.)

Summary pay range: 137,700 – 186,300
