About Government Sales Specialist

  Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Government Sales Specialist. This is a remote role where candidates must reside within the central region of the United States to be considered for this position. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside this region.

  What you'll do:

  Position Overview:

  The primary function of the Government Sales Executive is to sell Eaton's electrical products and turn-key installation services to defined Government (Federal, State and Local) customers in the following targeted domestic area: central region of the United States. In doing so, the Government Sales Executive will manage the customer relationship, providing sales support and technical expertise to end users, specifiers and contractors. You will also build relationships with Eaton's internal operations and product lines to support customers and grow sales.

  In this function you will:

  Consult with government customers to provide Eaton solutionsOwn all sales activity for the specified government accountsDevelop and manage customer relationships at all levels within the customers' organizationsTrain and empower channel partners to sell Eaton solutions to end customersBe a subject matter expert on Eaton's product and service offeringsAct as the voice of the customer to Eaton's product lines, ensuring high customer service and satisfaction Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habitsPrepare and present quotations to customersDevelop market-based growth strategies to ensure sustained success of Eaton's product lines

  Qualifications:

  Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum five (5) years of electrical solution sales experiencePossess and maintain a valid & unrestricted driver's licenseMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in EngineeringActive top-secret clearance

  Position Criteria:

  Possess excellent communication skillsKnowledge of key customers and ability to grow relationships at those customers in multiple levels of the organizationAbility to assess customer needs, provide clear, competitive quotations and overcome customer objections to win and grow the businessDemonstrate understanding of market trends, industry issues and knowledge of competitorsAbility to leverage support personnel to meet customer needs and work cross functionally in the organization to serve customersKnowledge of Eaton electrical products and service capabilitiesAbility to solution-sell to meet customer needsEffective implementation of Eaton's internal sales processEffective interpersonal and teamwork skillsTime management, presentation and planning skillsAbility to travel up to 25%

  The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and sales incentive. This position has a total compensation range of $130,125 - $190,850.
