  The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) group is currently seeking a Government and Capital Property Specialist to join our team in Palmdale, CA.

  This Specialist willsupport numerous programs at Boeing - Palmdale, the historic build location of the space shuttle, where our small, agile and highly effective team environment provides a rewarding experience for all who join us!

  This position works under general supervision contributing to the completion of organizational projects and goals through a partnership with more experienced practitioners both locally and across Boeing. As such, this position provides opportunities to expand one's knowledge base and project management skills necessary for future advancement. This position develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity while referring to policies, procedures, and practices for guidance. This position interacts primarily with internal personnel and external customers and may at times represent the organization on specific projects.

  Position Responsibilities:

  Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report, and dispose of property.

  Assists in performing audits, documenting processes and procedures and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property.

  Learns to determine property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program or contractual obligations.

  Uses off-the-shelf software or Boeing system tools to manage and communicate property information and to establish property records for company or government property.

  Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing, and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy.

  Oversees the physical inventory of property and reconciles results to ensure compliance with regulations.

  Assists in verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations.

  Learns to confirm that service work (E.g., preventative maintenance, calibration, etc.) is scheduled and performed in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy or recommended industry standards.

  Learns how to determine when property is allowable, reasonable, allocable, and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements.

  Performs disposition of property identified by company, legal, or contractual requirements. Assists with inventory adjustments, liability determinations and title issues.

  This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

  This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  Experience managing aspects of Government property such as Acquisition, Receiving, Identification Movement, disposition, contract closeout, subcontractor control, records, utilization and physical inventory

  Working experience and general knowledge of the government property FAR and DFARS clauses and the property life cycle

  Basic experience with inventory management information systems and their application

  Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  Prior government property management experience.

  Experience utilizing a variety of DoD and aerospace industry common property management information systems.

  Basic knowledge of applicable Boeing policies to coordinate property control activities.

  Typical Education/Experience:

  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

  Relocation:

  Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  Summary pay range: $64,600 - $87,400

  Export Control Requirements: U.S. Government Export Control Status: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
