Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Global Technical Sales Architect , reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales. The Global Technical Sales Architect will join our team in Toronto, Ontario .
The Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) Technical Sales Architect must have a broad technical background with experience in modernization and understanding a large portfolio of legacy monolithic applications and how they become distributed, cloud native, software solutions. The candidate needs strong people and technology leadership, analytical skills, teamwork, and excellent communication skills. The candidate will need to communicate at different levels in the customer and internal organizations, from CXO levels to key business and technical decision makers, to influence our revenue, market-share, and customer satisfaction growth. This role will drive innovative, evolutionary, reliable, scalable solutions discussions that advance Boeing’s thought leadership and trusted-advisor status in the aviation industry.
Position Responsibilities:
This role will work in lockstep with the Sales Directors (SD). Technical Sales Leads (TSL), and other key defined account influencers in the GTM team for successful customer technical and business outcome campaigns.
Tactical, by customer opportunity, engagement & focus to meet core account deliverables for business outcomes for GTM team and Boeing DAS.
Be part of a team of Technical Sales Architects who are globally responsible for building and strengthening CIO, CTO, CDO, and CSO relationships within our CA, BA, and GA customer base. This is a player-coach role.
Partner with the DAS CTO and leaders to understand the business and needs that drive technology decisions.
Collaborate on a technology roadmap by working closely with CTO and other sales, services, development, and support leaders on positioning the roadmap and competitive positioning with customers and our field Sales Directors, Technical Sales and Services Leaders in our Global DAS Sales team.
Create, with peers in the GTS TSA team, the messaging and content which aligns with our DAS CTO strategy on modernization of legacy, monolithic applications, and architecting innovative, greenfield applications.
Effectively discuss and convey strategies, patterns, practices and approaches for modernizing and refactoring legacy applications
Effectively discuss and convey applications design which is adaptable, cost-optimized, cloud-native SaaS in a globally distributed, multi-platform environment.
Leverage your knowledge and experience to help customers make technology decisions that drive innovation and agility while minimizing risks and costs.
Own the customer CXO discussion for the creation of mechanisms and architectural artifacts that communicate technology adoption, decisions and how DAS applications are hosted, built and deployed.
Be aware and participate in Architectural Standards and Practices discussions with internal CTO team and customer CXO’s.
Assist in evaluation of products for being well-architected and well-managed from a customer’s point of view.
Work closely with internal Information Security Office and Enterprise Cloud teams internally and in our DAS customer base, to ensure security standards and regulatory compliance are discussed. Our coaching and guiding customer CXO/Technical Decision Makers discussions are key to creating and maintaining the trusted advisor status for you and your TSA team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
At least 15 years of experience in software, application solutions, development and architecture in highly regulated industries.
10+ years of experience working with software development design patterns, methodology and life cycle
10+ years of experience/awareness working with legacy technology modernization and refactoring techniques such as domain driven design (DDD), event storming, strangler fig, transitional architectures, etc.
5+ years of experience working with distributed, cloud-native, API and Microservices architecture including service orchestration
5+ years of experience/awareness working with application performance management technologies, diagnostics, and issue resolution management
5+ years of experience/awareness in development frameworks, cloud native technologies and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, UML, Java, .Net, Docker, Kubernetes, JavaScript, Google, AWS, AZURE, and IBM clouds
10+ years of experience/awareness working with delivering High Availability (HA), resilient solutions that meet regulatory requirements and information security standards
15+ years of proven experience working with customer CIO, CDO, CSO, and key technical decision makers in to influence, advise, compare and recommend technology solutions
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Knowledge of the Well-Architected principles
Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Experience with enabling an organization centric targeted to business outcomes
Ability to inspire and lead
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
