About Global Supply Chain Area Leader

  Job Description

  On-site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis

  The Role:

  Has general supervisory responsibility over a large group of employees engaged in plant production operations, including Group Leaders, Team Leaders and Team Members. Work involves the coordination of a number of operations involving the ability to make decisions within the limits of general practices and policies. Work performed under general supervision, while exercising a high level of independent judgment.

  What You'll Do:

  Ensure safe work practices are being adhered to appropriately.

  Take leadership role in Workplace Safety Systems (WSS) as it pertains to mobile equipment Performance Standards

  Monitor daily shipping and receiving activity; including dangerous goods

  Ensure inventory integrity

  Actively contribute, and in some instances lead, initiatives to overall material handling efficiency improvements (LMS)

  Lead team with Global Manufacturing System (GMS – lean manufacturing) initiatives with focus on Short Lead Team (SLT) principle

  Maintain and expand upon team oriented environment

  Build relationships with cross-functional Area Leaders to ensure consistent management activities are taking place.

  Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  · Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience

  · 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  · 5+ yeas of experience in a manufacturing environment

  What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  Previous experience in a supply chain environment in a manufacturing environment

  Completion of recommended corporate training programs
