  Are you motivated to work on a team that supports the backbone of the Airports solutions space?Our strategic unit with Collins, Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS), provides advanced information management systems, products and services that enable the connected aviation ecosystem by bringing together Collins' unique breadth of aviation products with our smart digital solutions to help us enhance every aspect of the end-to-end travel experience. The Airport Business Unit works across the Airport's solutions space, covering passenger handling, through to aircraft scheduling. You will help the team define innovative solutions combining Collins' products with third party products, to deliver on-premises and cloud-based solutions.Working in a highly collaborative remote environment that fosters employee engagement and teamwork, Global Solutions Design Leader will work across the development teams, Product VSL's and Sales, and provide bid and no-bid decisions to enable product growth matching the Airports market needs.Airports Engineering is seeking a leader Global Solution Design (GSD) team to supervise and mentor a team of Solution Designers in the way of bids & proposal activities. The Global Solution Design unit is responsible for the solution architecture, design, and estimations/costings in response to customer bids and request-for-proposals. The GSD team is responsible for providing a compliant design that would allow the Airports business to improve its capture rate and enhance its solution design process. YOU will play a pivotal role in this high growth and high visibility area of the Collins Aerospace company.What YOU will do:

  You will participate in CMS Gate reviews and provide subject matter advice on bid or no-bid decisions.You will lead the team through the compliance matrix process and ensure a high-quality response.You will understand standard systems and cloud solution design and costings, and apply to customYou will work with the Sales team to identify client requirements and monitor tech specs changes (business, operational, etc.) during the bid stage.You will work with the development team to identify customer requirements for product development and enhancement prioritization.You will manage all coordination with stakeholders during the bid stageYou will work closely with the Product VSLs to feed customer requirements and integrate roadmap items within bid response and designs.You will closely coordinate and liaise with various internal support units and stakeholders, including but not limited to Sales, Bids & Proposals, Legal, Finance, Product Development, Product Management, Support Services, Engineering, etc. to ensure the proper handover to the project execution team.You will ensure all system design and technical bid process compliant / standard globally (Americas, APAC, EuMEA).You will Manage a geographically dispersed team.You will respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.You will engage with customers during bid stage.What YOU will learn:

  Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experienceQualifications you must have:

  Proven experience in Program Management, System Design, Complex Systems Integration experience.Proven experience and familiarity of Airport Systems products and technologies (CUPPS, CUSS, AODB, RMS, FIDS, BRS, SBD, etc.).Familiar with Airport Systems and Integration concepts and solutions with a very good understanding of delivery methodology in Airport / Airline environmentFamiliar with latest industry initiatives, airline operations, and airport processes.Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.Skills we value:

  This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
