We're looking for a Global Sales Leader to join our Fluence team in Austin, TX (can sit remotely in the United States with travel to Austin as needed).

The candidate will lead our North American and European direct and indirect sales teams, improve our sales operation and business development capacity and capability, and drive top line results while further enhancing our value proposition and business model.
What you'll do This role is responsible for leading, directing, and motivating the sales teams to achieve sales and margin objectivesResponsible for implementing locally relevant strategies to drive sales growth and market shareDelivers on AOP targets for revenue and margin, drives efficiency gains and manages customer offer performanceEstablishes high levels of customer partnership and satisfactionWork across Fluence with subject matter experts in areas such as lighting design, fixture engineering, installation teams, pricing and finance to meet the needs of customers, resolve customer issues and provide world class service in a timely manner.Lead and enhance sales team, as well as sales support teams including field application teams and business developmentDrives sales team engagement and culture of accountability What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Horticulture Science, Agronomy, Business or equivalentMust have 8+ years of relevant sales experience in lighting or similar industries- preferably in sales/customer relations management (horticultural working experience preferred i.e. Greenhouses )Position incumbent should average 5+ years of Sales Team management experience8+ years of proven track record in key account management and consultative selling principles, and quota achievement in a fast-paced technology industryGlobal sales experience in Europe (sales management or direct) preferredKey account planning skills and focus on strategic relationship developmentCommercial listening and questioning skills, ability to win the seat at the right customer tableSkilled in one-to-many negotiations, able to create demand for solutions by leveraging empathy and trust-based relationshipsFinancial acumen and commercial savviness Who we are

Salary: $150,570 - $221,000;
Target Sales Incentive Opportunity - 45%
