About Global Product Line Manager

  Eaton is currently seeking a Global Product Line Manager - Mechanical Support. Our Mechanical Support business includes the following product lines: Bolted Framing; Gratings; Seismic Bracing; and Pipe Hangers. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for the growth and profitability of our global product line across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Middle East. Reporting to the VP of Marketing for North America, the role will lead the execution of product life cycle management, commercialization, penetration strategies, and pricing for products in commercial and industrial applications.

  This position is located at our Highland, IL manufacturing site conveniently located near St Louis, MO. This complex manufacturing site has nearly 250 dedicated employees across 3 shifts. A hybrid work model is available (3 onsite/2 remote). Relocation assistance will be provided.

  In this Role, you will:

  • Responsible for product life cycle management through the multi-generational product planning process to include product innovation, cost out activities including value engineering and low-cost country manufacturing, complexity management

  • Lead product commercialization with a standard of quality and excellence for business, sales & marketing leaders, developing marketing collateral and tools, competitive selling strategies and detailed product demos and training

  • In conjunction with the Director of Pricing, you will formulate pricing strategies to effectively compete at market level prices and maximize price through the creation of value propositions and specification initiatives to increase long-term growth and profitability

  • Define global market product position and segmentation in sales regions and vertical markets and develop growth strategies, both internally and externally, for local markets and verticals to increase industry presence

  Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. MBA preferred

  • Minimum Ten (10) years' experience in commercial electrical manufacturing, operations, and/or program management

  • Minimum Four (4) year's of experience directly managing others

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future

  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support your business and establish delivery strategies that ensure supply chain and inventory optimization

  Your Skills:

  • Experience leading an end-to-end product P&L that exceeds $200M

  Experience with commercial electrical distribution channels and omni channel strategies

  • Experience managing SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process for multiple production sites and distribution warehousing

  • Experience leading product innovation/rationalization, pricing, cost out activities, and complexity management

  • Experience leading customer intelligence and forecasting activities to successful outcomes

  • Proven examples of product development and portfolio management experience

  • Experience successfully leading the execution of the product life cycle, commercialization, penetration strategies, and pricing for industrial applications focused products

  • Experience in communications across broad groups including customers and executive management

  The expected annual salary range for this role is $150,000 - $220,000 a year.
