Position Summary:
The Global Portfolio Leader will be responsible for driving and delivering breakthrough improvements in SKU productivity and portfolio harmonization metrics. Working closely with I&BC, regulatory, categories and regions, will focus on reducing Supply Chain complexity where matters to drive an improvement in bottom line, for instance reducing the number of manufacturing touches (changeovers), components, suppliers and specific technologies that currently drive our costs up.
The role will also define the portfolio rules to ensure that all new initiatives and SKU launches are consistent with the global portfolio strategy. This role requires a strategic thinker, cross-organization connector with a keen eye for process optimization and a commitment to driving portfolio simplification.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Segmentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to segment the portfolio, align with the regions and ensure the segmentation flows through the planning systems.Maintain and improve the segmentation workflow to deliver superior results in all the interconnected areas.
Portfolio Tail Management:
Lead and drive the tail process for kill or cure SKUs to Drive Diageo’s strategy.Align markets, and planning with the categories to drive the delisting process ensuring all super tail SKUs have a depletion plan and date.
New SKU creation rules:
Actively participate in the creation and feedback of the New SKU creation rules ensuring thresholds are updated to meet the business need.Monitor and track the adherence to the rules.Contribute to the innovation performance review process being stablished by I&BC.
Portfolio Complexity reduction through Genex 2.0:
Lead the Genex 2.0 Project execution by:
Communicating and requesting feedback from the regions.
Ensuring all the agreed plans have an owner and execution date.
Quantifying the benefits of the SKU complexity reduction.
Strategy development:
Own the portfolio harmonization strategy development for the fiscal year.
Continuous Improvement Cycle:
Track and improve Portfolio Key Performance Indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain organization by implementing the Portfolio PDCA.
Experience & Skills required
Digital Tools Experience: APO, SAP, Power BI.Supply Planning as DRP, MRP or MPS for at least 2 years.Planning hands on experience at least 3 years.A track record of driving results through action and achieving performance targets.Proven experience in supply chain management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent project management and leadership abilities.Proficiency in supply chain tools and technologies.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
