Eaton's eMobility division is currently seeking a Global Materials & Logistics Director. Our eMobility business is a fast growing division within our $3B+ Mobility Group. In eMobility, we are delivering advanced electric vehicle (EV) solutions by combining elements of our automotive pedigree with our robust electrical capabilities. This position can be based at our Southfield, MI, Galesburg, MI, or Marshall, MI locations, with a preference for Southfield. Relocation assistance is available. Up to 50% travel is required.
Primary Function:
The Global Materials & Logistics Director will serve as the Materials expert for the global eMobility business and will represent the division on the Mobility Global Materials Council driving Continuous Improvement (CI) concepts on materials management and supporting the operations on improving maturity in OpA (Operational Assessments). You will be responsible for deploying a standard global materials strategy to the sites aligned with Mobility across multiple divisions and Global Supply Chain Management KSIs. This person will be responsible for driving and executing standard work across the sites and will lead the functional excellence roadmap and tools (e.g., playbooks, training).
You will also be responsible for eMobility Logistics operations improvement, operational metrics, Premium Freight measures aligned to corporate needs, new programs, Logistics Partner/Supplier relationship and performance. This Director will lead and manage a small team of direct reports and will lead and mentor additional matrixed team members in the various sites.
What you'll do:
• Define continuity plans to reduce/prevent disruption in production caused by suppliers in partnership with all regions
• Implement end to end digital applications to reduce lead-time and increase flexibility supporting business needs and growth
• Provide guidance and standards to support all regions reaching world class Days on Hands and suppliers/customers On-time-delivery
• Manage SIOP process across regions ensuring appropriate levels of inventory and capacity management aligned with sales and growth initiatives
• Understand and propose Intercompany footprint to optimize levels of inventory while ensuring production continuity based on total cost of ownership
• Develop eMobility's overall operations digitization strategy partnering with the regions and global functional leaders
• Develop and align a strategy to utilize ERP at full potential to better connect all sites across regions
• Drive a standard analysis of global capacity to identify and manage end to end supply chain constraints
• Deploy lean materials flow concepts integrating the extended supply chain
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in Operations & Materials Management
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment
• Minimum 2 years of people management experience
• Advanced understanding of SIOP driven Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management.
• Legal authority to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in a discipline that ensures strong fundamentals in materials management
• APICS CPIM certification qualification or commitment to complete equivalent is desired
• Leadership of a cross-functional or global team and/or global business experience
• Experience in the automotive industry; automotive electronics exposure a plus
• Lean/Six Sigma background preferred
Position Criteria
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and materials process fundamentals
• Working knowledge of support systems (e.g. Value Chain Planning-Demantra, Supplier Vis, ClickView BI, ERP Health)

The expected annual salary range for this role is $131249.97 - $192499.96 a year.
