The Global Digital, Standards, and Training Leader is responsible for all aspects pertaining to digital technology platforms (Maximo Application Suite, Spotfire, and more) for Global Facilities. Within the role this leader will provide technical support for the development and sustainment of facilities and maintenance engineering standards, plus training development aligned with FlightDeck.
Job Description
Training
Lead and co-develop training programs with GE Aerospace Global Facilities (AGF) organizational peers to enhance existing programs or to develop new programs.
Assess training needs for new and existing employees that align with Global Facilities strategic mission objectives.
Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps.
Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs.
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations for maintenance staff.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles. Create training materials, including manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), presentations, and videos.
Ensure all training programs comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support the design, development, and implementation use of equipment and/or processes to reduce the potential for loss or risk exposure.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety guidelines.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Standards
Develop and Document Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive SOPs that adhere to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including management, operations, quality assurance, and compliance, to gather detailed information and ensure accuracy and completeness of SOPs.
Ensure Consistency and Clarity: Ensure all SOPs are written in a clear, concise, and consistent manner, following organizational templates and style guides.
Review and Revise Existing SOPs: Regularly review and update existing SOPs to reflect changes in processes, regulations, and best practices.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all SOPs meet quality standards and are easy to understand and implement.
Training and Implementation: Assist in the training of staff on new and updated SOPs, ensuring proper understanding and adherence.
Compliance: Ensure all SOPs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Documentation Management: Maintain an organized and accessible documentation system for all SOPs.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of documentation practices.
Digital
Design and Development:
Create interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Maximo, and other visualization libraries.
Develop custom data visualizations to meet the specific needs of stakeholders.
Data Analysis:
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand the data sources, structures, and requirements.
Analyze and interpret data to identify key insights and trends that can be visualized.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the objectives for data visualizations.
Deliver visualizations and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
Standardized dashboards for AGF interorganizational objectives that align with the established strategic imperatives.
Data Management:
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in visualizations.
Maintain and update existing visualizations as new data becomes available.
Tool Proficiency:
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and BI tools.
Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on the use of visualization tools.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or University (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing, project engineering or maintenance / construction planning experience)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering digital, standards, and training across multiple sites or businesses
