Eaton's Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Global Category Manager - Copper and Aluminum. All candidates must currently reside within the United States to be considered. As the Global Category Manager, you will lead a team of 6 direct reports and report to the Vice President of Global Commodity Management, Metals.
What you'll do:
Within our supply chain, the Global Category Manager, Copper & Aluminum supports the development and deployment of the global category strategy for Copper & Aluminum in all the regions and predominantly within the businesses of eMobility, Electrical Americas, and Electrical Europe. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, resiliency, VAVE) for the Copper & Aluminum category by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Supply Chain" philosophy. You will be responsible for leading a global group of Category Managers responsible for Aluminum (Sheet, Bar, Extrusions, Mag Wire) and Copper (Bar, Strip, Mag Wire) and provide guidance to the team in terms of goals, execution, and escalation. With the global electrification and eMobility industries reliant on these metals, this role is critical in supporting Eaton's growth and profitability plans over the next 3-5 years. This role will require an individual who can think outside the box and one who can develop and implement next-level, paradigm-shifting strategies to support and protect our business strategies.
In this function, you will:
• Develop strategy and connected strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners. You will also support Team members in the execution of the initiatives.
• Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
• Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
• Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, Resiliency, Working Capital, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved.
• Develop and present global communication plans and share new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
• Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
• Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, and SCM policies.
• Plan, prepare, and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
• Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers
• Support flex in the Category scope following acquisitions or divestiture in the business
• Leverage Eaton's vast support network of engineering, R&D, test, and data analytic resources to strategically manage your category.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in Supply Chain
• Minimum two (2) years of manager of people experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S without company sponsorship now or in the future
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within the United States to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as global category manager
• Prior experience with copper and aluminum purchasing
• Professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities
• Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
• MBA or master's degree in supply chain from an accredited institution

The expected annual salary range for this role is $150000.03 - $220000.04 a year.
