About the function
Diageo’s Analytics & Insights (A&I) team is responsible for designing, developing and implementing analytics products to drive our competitive advantage and enable empirically based decisions.
As part of the Analytics & Insight team, you will play a role for continuing to advance the sophistication of the power of analytics throughout Diageo. You will serve as an evangelist for the power of data and develop analytics products to enable decisions at Diageo. You will become an invaluable partner to your stakeholders, help catalyse their thinking about what’s possible, identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to drive top line growth, personalised consumer experiences and optimises business processes.

Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders
Strategic Vision and Execution: Develop and communicate a clear and compelling strategic vision for the build-to-order reports service, aligning it with the broader goals of the Data & Analytics Organization. Translate this vision into actionable plans and lead the team in executing those plans effectively, ensuring that the service continually evolves to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions about the direction of the build-to-order reports service. Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data insights to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Ensure that the service is delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including those in different regions and departments. Act as a bridge between business users, data engineers, and data scientists, ensuring that the build-to-order reports service meets the specific requirements of each group.
Agile Team Leadership: Lead and inspire agile teams responsible for the development and maintenance of the build-to-order reports service. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them grow in their roles and aligning their work with organizational objectives. Manage team performance, set clear goals, and support their professional development.
Market Awareness and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and reporting. Encourage a culture of innovation within the team, exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies that can enhance the quality and efficiency of the service. Continuously seek opportunities to create new possibilities and add value to the organization through innovative solutions.
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the Product Manager for BTO and Self Serve role within the Data & Analytics Organization, with a global responsibility for delivering the next generation of self-serve capabilities and BTO, is to:
Drive Data Democratization: The primary purpose is to democratize data and make it more accessible to all stakeholders across the organization. This involves developing and implementing strategies that empower users to easily access and derive insights from data, reducing dependency on specialized data teams.
Accelerate Dashboard Delivery: Lead efforts to leverage existing platforms and resources to deliver faster and more cost-effective dashboards to markets and functions that may not have strategic investments planned. This involves optimizing processes, tools, and workflows to streamline dashboard development and deployment.
Business Value Prioritization: Work closely with value stream leaders and business owners to understand their specific needs and priorities. Prioritize features and enhancements that have the most significant impact on business outcomes, ensuring that the products are aligned with organizational goals.
Promote Adoption and Utilization: Drive the adoption and utilization of self-serve analytics products across the organization. Create training programs, documentation, and support mechanisms to ensure that users can effectively utilize these products for data-driven decision-making.
Measure and Optimize: Implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success and impact of the self-serve capabilities. Continuously analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization, ensuring that the products evolve to meet changing needs.

Product Strategy and Vision: Develop a compelling product strategy and vision for BTO and self-serve data and analytics capabilities, aligned with organizational goals.
Product Roadmap and Prioritization: Own and maintain the product roadmap, prioritize features, and adjust plans based on business value and stakeholder needs.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross-functional product teams to ensure collaboration and common goal alignment.
Delivery and Execution: Oversee end-to-end product delivery, from concept to deployment, working closely with technical teams.

Qualifications and Experience Required
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as data science, analytics, statistics, computer science, or business administration.Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles, with a track record of driving successful data-driven initiatives in a complex organizational environment.Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire and influence others towards a common vision.Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis, statistical modelling, data visualization, and proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the CPG industry, including market dynamics, consumer behaviour, sales and marketing processes, supply chain operations, and financial performance metrics.Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex data and insights into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
