GI Unit Technician
Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Gastrointestinal Unit (GI) Technician is responsible for the technical functions related to assisting with GI procedures. The functions of this role include preparing the procedure room; assisting with the procedure; management, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment and instrumentation; and stocking, ordering, and tracking supplies. He / she is responsible to the COPS / GI Unit Patient Care Director (PCD) through the GI Unit Assistant Patient Care Director (APCD) or the shift Coordinator and works in concert with the philosophy and goals of the department.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Completion of course for GI or OR Technicians is preferred.
Experience:
One year of GI Tech experience is preferred.

None.
