Our Philippine office is expanding, and we are looking for Geotechnical Engineers to join our growing team.
Here’s what you’ll need :
You must have at least 5 years relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering. Jacobs are involved in various projects that may involve participation in tender works, field works, and design works. You would need to have proven experience in various aspects of soil and rock investigation work, including preparation of scope and requirements, to interpretation of data. You must be willing to be assigned on-site and must have proven experience on field works, such as assessment of borehole drilling works and other sampling methods, review of site investigation reports, and evaluation of on-site geotechnical problems. You would also need to be capable of providing engineering design, such as analysis for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability assessment and mitigation, evaluation of geohazard susceptibility (liquefaction, soft soil, etc.), and ground improvement technique recommendations. This must be coupled with hands-on experience in the use of software, such as PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, Slide, Settle 3D, etc. Sound understanding of relevant local and international standards would be advantageous.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills are needed since you would also need to deliver outputs through preparation of technical notes, interpretative reports, and interaction with contractors & clients.
Jacobs has large-scale projects involving various professionals across its local and global network. You must have sound interpersonal and technical management skills demonstrating the ability to participate and/or lead a team of professionals in delivering solutions working in a detailed design or EPC environment.
