Job Description The Opportunity:
The General Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and supervising warehouse activity to meet or exceed efficiency, quality, and safety goals, in a fast-paced environment. This includes the areas of receiving, warehousing, and shipping.

Supervises, directs, and guides warehouse supervisors and leads.Utilizes mainframe systems, database applications, spreadsheets, forecast information, and actual data to set plans for staffing and workflow timing.Coordinates workflow and staff scheduling based on inbound and outbound needs. Sets staffing plan for each shift on a daily basis.Ensures that organizational labor efficiency goals are met and maintained.Ensures accountability for all levels of operations staff are met and exceeded.Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as inventory control, traffic, human resources, training, security and facilities.Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of other Mattel distribution centers and their departments.Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.Assigns employees to specific tasks and or special projects as needed.Analyses information and implements changes to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.Analyses data to determine root cause and implements corrective actions based on the findings.Facilitate training to ensure staff members understand and utilize the procedures that will lead to maximized productivity, accuracy, and safety.Work with HR and other Management staff to resolve employee relations issues.Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise as required.Develop and fosters a culture around safety and 5SWorks on special projects as instructed by the Manager of Distribution Services. SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITIES
Manages supervisors who oversee employees in Distribution Center operations.Manages non-supervisory employees in accordance with the organization's policies, practices, and applicable law.Other supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree (preferably with concentrations in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial or Logistics Engineering) Five or more year of experience KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Able to collaborate with supervisory staff, management, executive staff, and corporate partners. Skilled at creating and maintaining functional and cross-functional partnerships. Strong writing skills. Able to write reports and correspondence. Strong reading skills. Able to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, bills of lading, reports, safety rules/ procedures, operating and maintenance instructions. Strong oral communication skills. Able to speak effectively before groups of employees, management customers, executives, and other corporate partners. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Able to analyses and interpret reports, graphs, and other data. Strong mathematical skills- ability to calculate figures such as percentages, volume, cost, time. Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. EQUIPMENT
