An exciting opportunity has emerged for aGeneral Manager, Supply Chain to lead Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA) as part of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Global Supply Chain and Fabrication.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this leadership role will take responsibility for understanding business needs, shaping supply chain strategy and ensuring efficient fulfillment processes to support factory operations and business growth.
This is a strategically focused and challenging leadership position requiring versatile leadership with a premium on modelling a global leader mindset, broad collaboration, influence, resilience, and leading a multidisciplinary Supply Chain team to achieve positive results.
Position Responsibilities:
Guide the strategic direction of Supply Chain operations including developing, implementing and managing a world-class material conveyance strategy and integrated point of use kittingPartner with senior leaders in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Business Operations to ensure support meets program, delivery schedules, and production ratesWork across functions to resolve production, resource and safety issues, while reinforcing supply chain relationshipsGuide efforts to develop business solutions to maximize inventory performance while minimizing costEffectively lead, empower, motivate, mentor and retain a high-performance team with an emphasis on creating an accountable performance cultureContracting with and development of a global, integrated, best value supply chain to support operations in Australia, over 500 suppliersIntegrate and align supply chain operations with the broader Boeing global supply chain organisationDevelop and implement productivity & affordability strategies to achieve the long range business plan with our external supply chain and internal production teams
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Management, Business Operations, Engineering or Supply ChainMinimum 5 years of experience in senior roles supporting Supply Chain or other related fieldExperience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiativesExperience managing complex, large-scale logistics or supply chain managementProven ability to develop and present innovative solutions to influence both people and outcomeExperience working with multiple stakeholders, including external bodies, government and regulatorsExcellent negotiation and communication skills with ability to effectively drive business performance in a dynamic business environmentExperience within a SAP warehouse environment, preferredExperience in Global (multi-national) and / or matrix organisations, preferred
Additional Information:
This is a non-EBA IJC HALQMM position. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6-month probationary period.
This role supports a global business and may require work schedule flexibility as well as domestic and international travel.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite located in Port Melbourne.
This position may offer sponsorship and a one-time relocation based on candidate eligibility.

The Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA) supply chain and fulfilment team support both direct and indirect procurement for the BAA site.
We manage direct suppliers providing a range of commodities including metallics, plastics, seals, composites and raw materials. With over 250 indirect suppliers responsible for supporting all the factory requirements including Operations, Facilities, HR, Quality, Environmental Health and Services as well as IT. Our team ensures orders are raised on time, received on time and the supplier is managed against all key deliverables including: safety, quality, delivery, cost and innovation. BAA has a well-integrated global supply chain with suppliers located in Asia, Europe, the USA and of course Australia.
