Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH Network is seeking a General Manager, Distribution to oversee various critical functions at our Denver, CO distribution facility. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performance culture that fosters excellence in several key areas, including safety, quality, efficiency, employee satisfaction, overall customer service/satisfaction, staffing levels, training, internal and external growth, and the optimization of asset utilization. This role is instrumental in achieving company objectives and advancing the DISH Way.
Key Responsibilities:
Standardizes administrative, receiving, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely access to materials and productsExperience with organizational change leadership and process improvement for effective and efficient team operationsMonthly PNL accountability with good cost controls driven by distribution efficiencies.Participates in the development of annual budgets including meeting deadlines and utilizing company resources effectivelyManages and develops cross-functional relationships across the organization and strategies to support organizational goals and objectives, which will include frequent travel to meet with suppliers, customers, industry leaders, and company events/meetingsOversees hiring, training, and recruiting needs. Manages the employee performance appraisal processManages leadership development by coaching and creating opportunities that enable career opportunities for individual and site growthManage subordinate professionals, including providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the site's activitiesExecute supervisory responsibilities in alignment with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employeesPlan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance and administer rewards and disciplinary actions as neededAddress complaints and resolve problems to ensure a harmonious and productive work environmentSkills, Experience and Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university3+ years of related experienceAlternatively, 5 years of related experience, which should include at least 3 years of supervisory/management experience and/or trainingAn equivalent combination of education and experience will also be consideredSkills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in Google Docs, demonstrating the ability to effectively utilize Google's suite of productivity tools for documentation and collaborationFamiliarity with Manhattan Scale, a Warehouse Management System (WMS) software, although prior experience is not mandatoryKnowledge of Oracle software or databases, which may include experience with Oracle Database Management or similar Oracle applicationsProven experience in distribution and logistics management, with a strong understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and shipping processesExceptional leadership and team management skills, including the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse workforceStrong project management skills with a track record of successfully planning, executing, and evaluating projects to improve distribution operationsEffective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including the capacity to address challenges and make critical decisions in a fast-paced distribution environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, upper management, and external partnersA demonstrated commitment to safety practices and the ability to promote a safety-first culture in the workplaceSalary Range

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total
compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
