Here at GXO we are recruiting for a full time, permanent General Manager to lead our operation and partnership with TJX, based in Crewe. You'll be responsible for leading and delivering the strategic vision within a customer-facing role, with a big focus on culture and partnership.
Even though you'llbe contracted to Monday - Friday, this is a 24/7 operation andyou'll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours - no twoweeks are the same,this is Logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more:
We're looking to offer a base salary of up to £70,000 per annum, along with a company car or car allowance of £505 per month and the company bonus scheme. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave(plus bank holidays) per annum, as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:
Manage the sites leadership teams achieving operational delivery performance and adherence to all Company and Partner/Site KPI's Work closely and build rapport with our Customer Partners to allow for collaborative working and the defining ofshared goals and objectives Lead and build the culture on site, with a strong focus on an inclusive and engaging workplace, and operational standards. Ensuring Health and Safety is at the core of what we do, and our colleagues have a safe working environment Maintain effective and open communication links positively encouraging teamwork across the operations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Extensive experience in managing change, especially through new site set ups Strong financial acumen Ability to coach and develop the management team, along with experience of building a highly engaged workforce. Experience in a customer-facing role, with exposure to project management, driving change and implementing a strong site culture
