  In this role, you will gain broad exposure to the legal field with an array of opportunities while working closely with legal and business professionals to deliver legal services to the business. This position will be a hands-on experience, with opportunities for observation and assignments supporting numerous business and practice groups, including commercial operations, compliance, additive, labor & employment, litigation, intellectual property, military, supply chain, and government contracts.   Job Description

  Essential Responsibilities:

  Support legal function as needed, potentially including reviewing or drafting corporate resolutions, contracts, amendments, memos, motions, proposals, marketing materials, communications and disclosuresComplete legal research and provide clear, concise summaries, both verbal and writtenStrong involvement in department initiativesWillingness to assume responsibilities consistent with department goals

  Qualifications/Requirements:

  Current 1L in an accredited law school3.0 GPA or greater, which must be maintained throughout employmentMust be able to work at GE Aerospace's Cincinnati, Ohio facility during the summer on a full-time basis, up to 40 hours per week

  Eligibility Requirements:

  Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status before employment.

  Benefits:

  The pay rate for this position is $35/hour. Relocation support and housing assistance is available for eligible new hires who must relocate to a new city for the summer. Part-time employment may be offered through the school year at the discretion of GE Aerospace.
