At Amazon Web Services (AWS), our Solutions Architects within the Strategic Accounts segment are responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. As a core member of the account team, you will drive revenue growth across a specific customer. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other teams within AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management. You have strong technical depth, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VP’s and CXOs.
In this particular role, the Games Solution Architect will work with one of our premier customers to help them carve a new niche in gaming. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and should have an understanding of Game technologies including engines, platforms, and middleware providers alongside applicable technical use cases, architectures, and development workflow. They should also have the ability to connect technology with measurable business value and also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. The Solution Architect will also have the opportunity to expand their technical expertise and flex into the data and analytics domain.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 12+ years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years in Game technologies including engines and platforms
2+ years in data and analytics
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
Professional experience architecting, operating cloud-based solutions.
AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
Experience in technology/software sales or pre-sales consulting.
Experience with a programming or scripting language.
Able to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage high ambiguity.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
