About the Role:
The CrowdStrike Endpoint Protection (EPP) Content product group is seeking a self-motivated professional to help us create, enhance, and operate the core systems that turn teams of analysts into an effective barrier for threat actors. You will work hand in hand with security analysts, researchers, and engineers around the globe to improve existing tools and develop novel solutions to improve the overall efficacy of the products as well as the efficiency of our workflows.
What You'll Do: Brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively across multiple teams. Build elegant, robust, and reliable solutions for complex technical problems. Obsess about learning, and champion the newest technologies & tricks with others, raising the technical IQ of the team. Deliver and accept feedback with grace and courtesy. Continuously improve the monitoring of internal systems and proactively address issues as they arise. Write automation to reduce operational/administrative load across multiple teams. Focus on improving your understanding of engineering best practices, including topics like secure coding, testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, logging, and resilient architecture patterns to ensure that our code is clean. What You'll Need: + 3 years of software development Basic knowledge of GoLang and/or a willingness to learn and use GoLang. Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React. Experience with a scripting language, such as Python or Powershell. Data Structures and their associated complexities. Previous experience with testing frameworks. Practical experience writing detailed documentation and test cases. Practical experience building web APIs. Practical experience building microservices within an event-driven architecture. Experience with distributed and scalable systems. Ability to learn on the job both independently as well as under the guidance of a mentor. Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work asynchronously with colleagues in other timezones. Ability to distill high level feature requests into concrete engineering requirements. Be an energetic 'self-starter' who is empowered to take ownership and be accountable for
deliverables, both individually and when part of a team. Ability to work in a small, fast-paced diverse team environment, with emphasis on rapid tool development and working independently to meet project deadlines. Preferred: Experience in a security operations center or a similar environment. Operational knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and/or graph databases. Operational knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, NSQ, SQS, or Kafka. Experience with docker/kubernetes. Experience with AWS, AZURE, or GCP. Exposure to Java, C++, C#, and other compiled languages. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or work related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
