Job Purpose and Impact
As part of the site's FSQR team, the FSQR Specialist is responsible for the effective implementation of the
food safety, quality management and Quality control programs.
In addition, the role supports the broader organization in the implementation, training and continuous improvement of these programs.
The Food Safety Quality Specialist will provide specialized knowledge of specific segments of quality systems or plant processes such as food safety and quality auditing, instrumentation, specific product line knowledge, computer systems, management or oversight of suppliers and other needed focus areas. In this role, you will be involved in preparation and participation of customer audits and you will partner with internal and external teams to address customer requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on audits.
Temporary contract until January 2026.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct verification and maintenance of the food safety and quality systems, hazard analysis and sanitation processes, prerequisite programs, manufacturing processes, plant environment and finished product.
Collaborates with operations on the initiation of corrective action and preventative measures when necessary.
Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory, customer and facility food safety and quality requirements and completion of corrections and corrective actions.
As main contact person for the management and organization of all FSQR related external audits at the site
Act as food safety team leader, coordinate and lead the food safety team and overseeing the food safety management system and management review.
Manage food management system compliance to appropriate government regulations.
Investigate and follow up on food safety incidents that occur in the plant to ensure they are reported and that corrective action and permanent corrections are taken.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
HACCP team member; and within this framework responsible for maintaining the FSSC 22000 requirements
Responsible for the quality control laboratory team, its performance and team development
Responsible for providing monthly reporting data of FSQR KPIs and FSQR program results.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food science or a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum two years of related work experience in food and/or feed industry
Experience in working with stakeholders and production departments
Fluent in German and English (both languages in daily uses)
Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience
Experience with the Food Safety System Certification 22000
Experience in the application of HACCP knowledge and good knowledge in the field of food safety
Basic knowledge of food safety legislation
Experience working with SAP or similar
Knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards
Team player with proactive approach and analytical mind-set to problem solving
Team management skills will be a big plus
