This position is on a program that develops and operates GeospatialIntelligence analysis software. The team builds and maintains a robustplatform enabling users to address challenging problems by convertingdisparate data into actionable information. They work directly withoperational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities thatempower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes ofGeospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations thedecision advantage over our near-peer opponents.
As a Front-End UI Engineer, you will get to:
Work with multiple scrum teams to develop immersive user interfaces usingSvelte, HTML, CSS, and Typescript.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experiencePro-actively engage as a thought leader within the team, driving innovativeapproaches and strategies that elevate our front-end development practicesContribute to the optimization of code for maximum performance and efficiencyOptimize code for seamless performance and rapidly address any potentialissuesUphold and champion industry best practices for the creation of top-tier webapplicationsMentor junior developers and contribute to the formation of highlyeffective, collaborative teams
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product and Product design teams to understand thetechnical challenges of features, as well as determine the feasibility andviability of features sets and requestsEnforce strong coding best practices, guidelines, and standards throughoutthe teamEnsure that all code is clearly tested from end-to-endProvide flexibility and comfort across all stacks should allow you to helpsolve issues at all levels, including code modularity and re-useFoster a collaborative environment and be a good role model within the teamWork closely with internal and external APIs and back-end engineers toestablish best practices for models and contractsBe an evangelist for front end development - detail oriented with a passionfor leading by exampleUse your understanding of task runners and build frameworks to develop andevolve CI/CD
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraphFive (5) years of experience in software development (analysis,design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience as a software engineer with user interface development inAngular, React, Svelte, or similar frameworkExperience creating and maintaining Enterprise web applications andintegrating with back-end servicesStrong experience in CSS and creating page layouts using component librariesand toolkitsEffective communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs including RESTUnderstanding of GIS concepts (ESRI tools, OGC Standards)Experience working with CI pipelinesExperience with ElasticSearch and KibanaExperience with AWS environmentsExperience working in a SAFe Agile environmentSecurity+ CertificationExperience with Computer Vision

Full-time on-site at a designated facility with flexible hours.
Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is $135,000 -$210,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guidelineonly. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to)scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience,education/ training, key skills as well as market and bu inessconsiderations when extending an offer.
