We are currently seeking an individual in Front Office Support role to join our SSGA Front Office IT development team for Fixed Income, Cash and Currency applications. The individual will be responsible for working on application development and support related activities for existing and emerging applications. The successful candidate will have strong technology and business acumen, build partnerships, foster close collaboration and work hand in hand with the business and technology teams. Core responsibilities include development skills, data analysis, communications skills to liaison with business, vendor partners and application development teams. The role has a broad set of responsibilities and offers a great deal of exposure to various aspects of the investment and portfolio management applications and domain.
As the Front Office Support person, you will
Align with business and IT stakeholders to contribute as Front Office Support person for GA's Fixed Income, Cash and Currency technology areasProvide application support for Fixed Income and Cash both internally developed and external Vendor applicationsDevelop SME knowledge on vended applications and data sources used in Fixed Income and Cash Investment business areasWork on various projects small, medium and large to streamline data usage and provide data governance monitoring for portfolio construction data domains i.e. Analytics, Pricing etc.Act as a key SME on Vendor application (e.g. Bloomberg, Port, Minerva, Sentinel) and provide guidance and support to business users and application development teamsEstablish relationships with all stakeholders and development leads globally to ensure the right engagement and alignment is achieved for business support initiativesProvide development and testing support to team members working on existing software and integration components for our future state CRD implementation across Fixed Income and Cash domainsMonitor and maintain user access and entitlements on Vendor data platforms, provide status reporting on data usage and user access
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Proven track record in supporting business areas and providing application support on business applications and vendor platforms.Detailed knowledge of the Asset Management or Investment Management industry, with a focus on Fixed Income and Cash InvestmentExperience supporting systems such as Bloomberg & Aladdin, Minerva, and Sentinel.Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with all levels of the organization, both internal and externalSenior level presentation skills and project management responsibilitiesMust be able to work independently with limited supervisionSolid interpersonal skills and ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical linesHighly organized, and ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and application support tasksSolid understanding Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and development platformsLeadership qualities in managing complex projects and business support initiatives to deliver business results and positive outcomes
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Financial Services background, including investment or asset management (preferred)Bachelor's degree is a requirement; Computer Science or Information Technology (preferred not a must).Information technology expertiseShould be an excellent communicator, experience on communicating with global users (both written and verbal), will be preferred.
