This position coordinates the provision of multiple services to patients performing a full range of administrative support services for clinic/site including collection of co-payments, registration, and scheduling of patients for medical procedures, tests, associated ancillary services and other related duties. Ensures the highest level of patient/customer satisfaction.
Position Details:
Hours : Monday - Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST
Department : Lab and Radiology
Location : 24 Newton Street, Southborough, MA
Primary Responsibilities:
Verifies patient insurance coverage and eligibility utilizing computer-based patient registration / scheduling system
Welcome walk-in patients and get them check in for lab/Radiology scans
Release orders so lab work and Radiology scans can be preformed
Collection of patient co-payments and other outstanding balances, maintaining a daily cash deposit as needed
Addresses patient-care related telephone calls via an incoming work queue aligning with department metrics
Ensures insurance authorizations are obtained and services are covered in full, communicating information with patients as needed

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience
Beginner level of proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience utilizing electronic medical records
Epic experience
Superior customer service skills including the ability to multi-task and resolve patient concerns in a timely manner
Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgment
