FPI Processor 1st ShiftTitle:FPI, Level I (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)Status:HourlyShift: 2ndReportingRelationship:Reports directly to Finishing Area ManagerLocation:Mentor / RP, OHEducation:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and may be substituted by experience. Must possess basic computer skills.PersonalCharacteristics:Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Work Experience:Must have current (preferred) or previous FPI Level I certification and must document a completed organized training course per NAS-410.Principal Area ofResponsibility:The FPI, Level I will perform the necessary operations and control checks that require investment casting to be processed using equipment and fluorescent penetrant materials in order to prepare the parts for inspection personnel.Specific Duties:Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.Prepares solutions, cleans parts, applies fluorescent penetrate solution, washes parts, develops them, dries and otherwise processes parts through the FPI line. Complies with standard procedures for checks on equipment and fluids.Degreases parts as required.Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.Interprets accurately and follows Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering Procedures.Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes.Maintain all required process records.Keeps work area clean, orderly and in safe condition, following all safety rules.Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Assure product is properly
