The Lake Area Technical College (LATC) Foundation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scholarship Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Foundation Scholarship Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the college's mission by managing the scholarship program, facilitating the application process, and fostering positive relationships with donors, students, and faculty.
Primary responsibilities include the administration of the scholarship management software system and coordinating scholarship awards and distribution among Foundation staff, accountants, the Financial Aid office, and Lake Area Technical College staff. Serve as primary contact for Foundation accounting functions including accounts receivable and accounts payable using QuickBooks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
Assist in administration, awarding, and recordkeeping of all scholarship funds.Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications regarding scholarships with students, parents, counselors, and college representatives.Coordinate the Foundation Scholarship review and selection process, including soliciting volunteers to serve as essay reviewers.Collaborate with the LATC Financial Aid office to ensure the timely availability of scholarships.Ensure scholarships are available and fully disbursed in accordance with donors intentions.Review existing scholarship policies and procedures and make recommendations for improved implementation strategies.Work in collaboration with the Foundation Executive Director and accountant to monitor and prepare scholarship projections and accurate expenditure reports of all scholarship funds awarded to students.Update and maintain the web-based scholarship application system to manage the timely opening, closing and archiving of application cycles.Serve as the primary point of contact with the web-based scholarship system vendor.Mail accurate annual scholarship account summaries to all endowed scholarship donors.Assist in the planning and coordination of Donor/Scholar events.Represent the LATC Foundation in the community as assigned.Maintain accurate and complete scholarship donor records.Perform duties and organize events as assigned by the Foundation Executive Director.QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
AAS degree or higher required. 2-3 years professional experience desired, as well as experience with program development and management.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.Communicate complex information in a clear manner to a variety of audiences.Manage and prioritize multiple tasks.Strong customer service with demonstrated ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.Excellent analytical, administrative, and problem-solving skills.Proficient computer skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.Ability to complete multiple assignments within provided time constraints with minimal supervision.Self-starter who works well independently, but who also thrives in a team environment, sharing ideas and working collaboratively.```{=html}

SALARY RANGE:$46,800-$57,850, depending on qualifications. Highly competitive benefits package.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Professional classified contract over 12 months with compensation set by the Watertown School Board.
