Job Description
We are currently seeking candidates with experience in a production or manufacturing environment to fill a Night Shift Production Operator position. Candidates with forklift experience strongly preferred, as the role involves operating production equipment and a forklift.
Pay: $20.17 / hour + .50 cent / hour night shift differential
$1500 Sign-on bonus paid after 90 days of employment

This role works 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, and wrappersSafely operate a forklift to move raw materials or finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for distribution to customersComplete pre-trip inspections and maintain energy source for lift - Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facilityMeet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, downtime, pallets/labor hour, line loading and truck turn timeEnsure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks and inspecting raw materials and finished goods against quality standardsComplete and maintain quality, inventory and preventative maintenance documentationRecord preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as neededInteract with team members, quality assurance, maintenance and the warehouse to maximize output and efficiencyMaintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and Good Manufacturing Practices are metWork as a team with other operators to ensure no line stoppages and improve operations - Cross training to perform work on other lines or in other production areas as neededProvide vacation coverage to team members as neededQualifications
Key qualifications include:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceTwo or more years prior experience in production within manufacturing, ideally in the food or beverage industry or a clean manufacturing environmentPrior experience operating a forklift desiredSolid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise management software (SAP)Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectivelySolid problem solving and decision making skillsDemonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a high speed production environmentAbility to move/lift 50 lbs various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skillsWillingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidaysAbility to successfully complete an online skills assessment prior to onsite interviewSuccessful completion of a post offer physical, drug screen and background check are requiredWillingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hold and cold)This is a tremendous opportunity!
