Summary About the position: This position is located at the Rocker Enlisted Club on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Responsibilities Operates a limited coffee operation. Prepares a limited variety of hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc., by selecting proper ingredients according to the number of servings required. Sells and serves beverages and food items such as soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, etc. Operates a cash register, rings up sales, accepts payments, and process charges to patrons. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability and related cash reports. Sets up work are for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean. Sets up and cleans tables for customer, and replenish condiment items as necessary. Sets up and operates dishwashers and performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, and scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as; coffee machines, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washed floors and walls and sanitizes garbage cans May unload stock from delivery trucks. Collect and transfers trash from work are to disposal area. Assists with inventories and identifies items for re-ordering. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
