Focus Improvement Manager - Greenville, MS
The role of the Focused Improvement is essential in developing the capability across site to identify and eliminate losses in line with the key priorities of the factory. This is achieved through the roll out of MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) also known as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in combination with the Leadership and implementation of the Focused Improvement (FI) Pillar as part of the overall program.
Next to the MSE program the Focused Improvement Manager will also coordinate the overall VLS (Value Leadership) and Capital Asset Budget programs. This role is responsible for PPPI (Product, Process & Packaging Implementation) at Site level.
The job holder leads the Focused Improvement team (IE, CI, PPPI Associates) and ensures a trustful, transparent, collaborative way of working with all relevant functions.
The jobholder is permanent member of the Site Leadership Team and will play a key role as a thought partner with the Plant Director and have important links with Global Industrial Engineering (IE), as well as the Global and Regional Supply, & MSE teams, R&D teams & other Site FIM's.

What will be your key responsibilities?
Tools for Success - Leading the MSE program as a whole and FI pillar as an pillar lead, coaching the other MSE pillar leaders and members. Maintaining a balance between short term business delivery, long term strategic priorities and driving VLS initiatives and Loss Analysis
Drive Change with Continuous Improvement Efforts - Driving Value Leadership along with tracking the pipeline of identified projects for visibility and identifying process inefficiencies, sources of loss and coordinates/facilitates activities using cross-functional resources to eliminate them.
Strategize to Win - Continually collaborating with Operations and Maintenance to identify and troubleshoot chronic and sporadic losses through data analysis. Representing Supply in various ATG's for Innovation & COGS activities. Owning the development and deployment of the Site Masterplan, supported by the Global IE. Managing Site investment CAB program in close collaboration with Site Leadership Team, Site Technical functions & Global functions.
GLM - Manage, develop and engage qualified Associates in industrial engineering area, continuous improvement, focused Improvement and PPI (Product Packaging Implementation) resources.
Impact Results - Extending the use of MSE improvement tools within Quality, Safety, and Food Safety for supporting the AHC & reliability process. Drive standard work efforts and assists in the annual Operating Plan process together with Finance (S&F).
Empower Teams - Train and coach problem solving skills for all plant Associates and actively support the teams in problem solving activities, (EDPS, BDE, Six Sigma if applicable) coordinate closely with Regional/Global MSE teams and assuring compliance to Corporate MSE standards.
Integrated Management System - Follow up the rules, policies and procedures established in Mars Food for the correct performance of the integrated management system (Quality, Food Safety, People Safety and Environment)
Responsible for excellence in implementation of new products and processes, incl. handover to Operations.
Confirm and improve process capabilities to meet product specifications consistently and effectively, using lean & six-sigma tools where appropriate.
Education and Training - The role is also in charge of rolling out and maintaining Education and Training infrastructure on site. The scope comprises of deployment proper IT solutions (trainings, knowledge check and tracking capabilities), role profiling and E&T pillar management.
CAB Management - own and govern site Capital Asset Budget. Plan and track CAB execution.
