What you’ll be doing:
Create fixed assets in the Company’s SAP fixed assets sub-ledger and verify source data, such as purchase requisitions and purchase orders for completeness and accuracy and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis
Assist with fixed assets physical inventory and Run and distribute fixed assets reports
Within fixed assets area, ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Ensure compliance, with the Company's SOX and internal control processes in the fixed assets area
Work with other teams, including FP&A, AP, Purchasing, Tax, and Facilities to resolve issues in the fixed asset area
Prepare general ledger reconciliations for designated fixed assets accounts
Prepare journal entries to record accruals, amortizations, and ensure proper balance sheet classifications
Participate in the Company’s quarterly, interim, and year-end audits of fixed assets and prepare supporting schedules (PBCs) and respond to auditor inquiries
Provide support to cross-functional teams and special projects as needed
Get cross-trained and learn other functions within the general ledger area in order to back-fill when others are out of office or on leave
What we need to see:
Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
2+ years operational experience in an accounting organization
Experience in Fixed Assets area, (preference for SAP ECC / SAP HANA).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook) required
Good analytical, problem solving skills, attention to detail
Good communication skill to interact with internal/external teams across regions
A self-starter with ability to work independently with minimum supervision to resolve moderate to complex problems
A self-starter, with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment
