  Job Description

  The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Metro Region is seeking a Fiscal & Waiver Liaison Program Coordinator II with strong attributes in the Human Service field to work in the Greater Boston Area Office. The Area Office Program Coordinator will work under the direction of the Area Director or designee and be responsible for data management and project/assignment completion related to the CMS waivers, ISP/LOC/POC compliance, and other waiver-related matters. The position is a member of the Area Office Management Team and is involved in management-level planning and activity. The position will be responsible to provide support and assistance to the Area Director and other area office staff related to the management and completion of assignments, projects, data collection and other related activities, as well as support, as needed, with contracting activity and fiscal monitoring.

  Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):

  Participate in procurement processes, resource allocation and tracking, and contract management and oversight activities. Provide technical assistance related to Participant Allocation Management (P.A.M.), Meditech enrollments, and the management of the Participant Directed Program portal and other self directed program activities. May provide supervision to one or more staff of a lower grade.

   Please Note:

  Driving, both within and outside of the Greater Boston catchment area, will be a necessary part of this position.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:45AM to 5:00PM, Days Off: Saturday and SundayInterested applicants should be flexible in schedule as there may be occasional nights and weekend meetings with individuals, guardians, families and other agencies.

DDS serves over 43,000 vulnerable individuals throughout their lifetimes, providing a spectrum of day, employment, and residential supports.   Qualifications

   First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

  MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.

  Substitutions:

  I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.

  II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.

  III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

  Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
