The Financial Educator Specialist at Consolidated Credit is a dynamic professional representing the organization at various levels. This role involves conducting financial education seminars and webinars, facilitating first-time homebuyer workshops, and acting as the primary liaison for collaborating with partners on financial education events.
Financial Educator Duties:
Facilitate financial education webinars and seminars in English and Spanish for Community Partners in South Florida’s Tri-County area.
Facilitate financial education webinars and seminars to our financial literacy portal (KOFE) partners
Review PowerPoint presentations and update them as needed
Request marketing assets as needed
Assist in the promotion of events with existing or prospective partners
Prepare handouts and information for events as needed
Provide handouts and webinar/seminar information to attendees
Collect roster documents (Attendee list/demographics, handouts, booklets) and complete cover sheet for all events
Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions when requested and enter information on CounselorMax and any other client management system.
Facilitate First-time Homebuyer (FTH) orientations and workshops in English and Spanish
Be the point of contact and maintain constant communication with partners and stakeholders.
Attend community outreach events and promote Consolidated Credit services and programs
Perform any other related duties assigned by the manager
Qualifications and Skills:
Must understand consumer credit, housing services, and financial matters.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university or two to three years of financial/credit/mortgage experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience is required
General computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), GoToWebinar, Zoom, and Teams
Must be able to adapt to using various client management systems
Expected to pass certified credit counseling exam within 12 months of employment
Additional Requirements :
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are necessary.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage and prioritize different tasks
Ability to travel within the tri-county South Florida area
Flexible with scheduling changes (some evenings, weekend days)
Dependable
Ability to identify needs and provide resources available
Excellent work ethic
Ability to interact and to work collaboratively internally, as part of a team, and across teams, especially with externals
