Primary Purpose: Promotes a sales and service culture by effectivelymeeting members\' needs. Actively engages with members by greeting,personalizing interactions, uncovering financial needs, makingrecommendations for financial services, providing follow-up, with asense of urgency and professional demeanor. Responsibilities: -Approaches, welcomes, and engages all visitors who come into the branch.Manages the traffic flow of members with a sense of urgency to provideminimal wait times. - Engages members and visitors through askingrelevant and meaningful questions, getting to know their needs, makingappropriate product and service recommendations, and developingcustomized follow-up plan with the member as appropriate. - Opens newmember accounts, including certificate of deposits (CDs), money market,checking, and savings accounts.& #8239; - Submits and books consumerloan applications and answers basic consumer lending questions. - Offerspayment protection and explains debt cancellation options. - Explainsthe differences between a Home Equity Loan and Mortgage Loan to membersand coordinates referrals to appropriate team or team member. - Performsand balances daily teller transactions and all other member transactionactivity. Processes cash orders, completes wire transactions, issuesdebit cards, cash recyclers, and vault. - Records detailed notes todocument member interactions, complex situations, and transactions tominimize lapse in employee communication or member service. -Understands and complies with federal and state regulations relating tofinancial products and services as well as NWCU policies and proceduresand regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). - All otherduties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma (GEDequivalent). Previous experience in a Teller or Financial ServicesRepresentative, or equivalent role preferred. One (1) year of service ina cash handling and sales environment in a credit union or otherfinancial institution preferred.
