Position: Financial Analyst III
Hiring Manager: Sr Manager, Finance
Location: Hybrid Waltham, MA; Carlsbad, CA; or Pittsburgh, PA

This individual will work with their direct leadership to drive Thermo Fisher Scientific's planning and analytics and labor charge back process across our DPE and IT Shared Services teams. The ideal candidate has a consistent track record as an experienced high potential talent demonstrating drive, ambition, financial and analytical acuity, and emotional intelligence.
This position will partner with the Finance leadership team and business by bringing strong capabilities in forecasting and analysis, trend identification, and insight generation to support impactful reporting, along with effective process management. They will link to finance colleagues across Global IT Finance to ensure alignment financially and around core results for Corporate FP&A.
1. Providing financial planning and analysis support to the Digital Engineering and the Global IT Shared Service organizations around monthly/quarterly reporting, and planning/forecasting mechanisms.
2. Developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly forecasts; conducting variance analysis; preparing AR financials and other ad hoc analysis related to labor.
3. Completing key month-end close processes and post-close reporting for operating expenses.
4. Run labor chargeback process for all of IT shared services.
5. Delivering operational improvements to drive efficiency and customer ease of use.

Partnership: Ability to build organizational relationships with customers, peers and operating partners.Thought Leadership: Ability to independently make logical assumptions, identify trends, and effectively utilize data to evaluate business performance.Financial Domain: Proficiency in the following areas: financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, process controls, and accounting knowledge specifically related to capitalization of software development activities.Process Acuity: Strong skills with MS Excel (management and synthesis of large data sets) and MS PowerPoint (compelling storytelling), along with Oracle, HFM, and COGNOS (financial system proficiency).Adaptability: Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams from different areas and drive continuous operational improvement in daily activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $83,300.00-$125,000.00.
